Release Statement
The Suffragettes, a quartet based out of Japan will kick start the launch of Goosehound with the Gunsi EP. The abstract and intricate beat structure of their vivid creations illustrates their ingenious and unprecedented disposition, which in sequence best represents the aesthetics of Goosehound.Bold and daring, each track forces the mind to embark on a conceptual journey satisfying cravings for angular adventures, both on the dance floor and in the comfort of your own home. Goosehound 01 features 4 tracks each constructed with mind-bending percussion and strategic clicks nuzzled in staggering basslines and relentless beats. The desolate moans and groans escorted by eccentric wisps found in "Hanzo" captures what dreams may consist of, while the all-encompassing beat patterns commands your body to rhythmically sway at the corresponding BPM. The rich and delicious elements found in “Syokatu” is best described as mathematical perfection, constructed with calculated layers to sink your teeth into. Diving even deeper into this release, “Josyo” intensely scratches the back while it sends tingling shivers up the spine with its riveting low-end theory, undoubtedly a raw-inspiring creation to intoxicate its listeners. Clinks and clangs, booms and bangs; “Rikson” finishes off the EP in a twisted fashion, sparking an unhinged feel with its dub-influenced drum sequences and serrated edges, creating a perfectly balanced composition utilizing lush textures and cavernous segments.
Goosehound has delivered a must have EP ideal for setting a multi-dimensional ambiance. The premeditated sampling found in each composition will add a well-defined and renowned taste to your music collection. Versatile and highly functional, The Suffragettes have created a masterpiece perfect for layering if you are the multi-track user, as well as ideal for long-play with incentive to capture its listeners in a whimsical apologue.
